Karen took the time to ensure I was not only satisfied but genuinely thrilled with my hair. Her attention to detail and commitment to customers truly set the standard for the salon!

Karen gave me such a beautiful haircut and gave me a plan for my overcut bangs, I have gotten several complements and people are nicer to me! Kind of wierd but welcome. I highly recommend this skilled and thoughtful stylist.

Updated May 2022: Not to be dramatic, but Maricela is a bone-fide Goddess of the Salon. This is my second time getting my hair colored with her, first time getting a cut, and it looks so stinking cute I can’t get over myself. She gave me a really cute graduated fade from shaven on one side to sternum-length on the other, and managed to get my hair to take to my favorite light color despite my hair being quite dark. She is friendly and easy to talk to, but also receptive when I need to get work done or just snooze a little. I’m really lucky to have ended up in her care 💕I had a complicated *and* vague last-minute request (unusual asymmetrical cut, balayage color for the first time on dark hair, and I didn't know clearly what I wanted). Also needed this done in less than 48 hours.Bless Karen's heart, she found the time to see me despite my own rigid schedule and made this experience worth emerging from my 14-month cocoon.Karen is thorough, knowledgeable, and artistic; she took the time to really understand and help me figure out what I wanted, as well as walk me through the education piece. Her reparative conditioning routine included a massage which gave me a break first break from a two-day headache (and I hear this was the abridged massage, so I look forward to the post-covid version!). I knew getting my hair done is a form of pampering, but this time *actually* felt like that self-care treat I've needed.Karen got my hair to my signature color and really understood and delivered the hair shape I wanted and had been waiting for. This was the best way to return to a salon after so many months shut inside and it's reminded me what I enjoy about getting my hair done.THANK YOU Karen for the epic cut / color / style!

I've been going to Artisan Salon for over 30 years and have had over 30 years of compliments on the color, cut , and texture of my hair. .Over 30 years of great hair dayqs -- even in the wind and fog --Outstanding team of stylists and technicians - My special stylist is Karen (the owner/ operator and instructor who even attends seminars and gives classes for Redkin as well as other well-established beauty product companies)The cuts and color are always up-to date. I have been going to Artisan Salon since it opened. Karen Toro does an amazing job and she always there new styles to keep me looking up to date. My hair is difficult to cut to say the least, but somehow Karen always finds a way to make it look good.

I’ve been going to Artisan Salon for nearly my entire life and I am 23 now. Artisan has never had anything but the best service. Everyone that works at Artisan is extremely nice, polite, flexible, and of course give fantastic hair cuts. They have also been very diligent and respectful during covid by implementing good safety measures for their customers and their business. Nothing but love for Karen and the rest of Artisan! - Ben

For the past 15 plus years Karen has been cutting, styling and coloring my hair. She is a true artist. Karen advises after listening carefully and the results always come out beautifully. I receive many compliments from her good work!I look forward to my “mini spas” with Karen every 5 weeks where I know I will be well taken care of!!!

Karen at Artisan is a master of color and cut and a genuinely kind and caring person. I have naturally wavy/ curly hair and she's worked with me to get a great style that works for my life (minimal effort and compatible with working out) and looks GREAT. She's refined my color and put in highlights so my gray doesn't show and I feel like my hair has been kissed by the sun! I'm a very happy client.

Besides being a wonderful person, she stays up on the newest trends and developments, but most of all she listens first, and then she offers her professional opinion while also taking into consideration what you want. Karen, who is the owner of the salon just did an awesome job on both my color and cut! My daughter recommended that I go see her since I wanted something special for her upcoming wedding. And, wow, Karen really delivered! She spent a great deal of time with me before getting started discussing what would look best with my features and she really listened to my thoughts about my hair. It has truly never looked better and the only thing I’m disappointed about is that I live on the east coast… But, I’m planning on visiting several times a year so I can have her continue to style my hair!! She’s that good.

Great salon! A bit on the expensive side, but conveniently located, friendly staff, and knowledgeable hairstylists. I went to Lynn for several years and was satisfied with every haircut.
